I think we're all getting our groove with the new school year. Brianna's enjoying her senior year and finding that her classes aren't nearly as challenging as in years past. She reserves the right to change that assessment though. Kenzie is finding high school not as scary as she thought it might be. She's liking all classes except French. We told her to take Spanish, but "NO!" I don't want to take the same class Brianna did. Carly's enjoying being big girl on the elementary school campus. She's doing well. On top of her piano lessons, she's taking a musical theatre from the same teacher. She's doing this with a couple of her friends and really enjoying it. Aaron's settling in and discovering he can handle the extra challenges his new class is offering. Soccer is a lot of fun for him too.
We're still awaiting insurance to come through with a settlement from our robbery - now over a month ago. It's a bigger pain that we even imagined. We're now passed on to the 3rd department with no end in sight. Note to others: You are definitely NOT in good hands with ALLSTATE.
A few weeks ago, Brianna finally got her braces off. Yeah, because we needed to get senior pictures taken. We found a great place: www.luminaphotography.com We like how they do things. You pay them by the hour, then come away with a CD with all of your pics and the copyright to them. You can develop them wherever you want, i.e. really cheap at Costco. We made it a family photo session too. Got a lot of great shots of the family, each kid individually, various groupings, then Brianna had the duration of the time to do her senior pictures. We were very pleased with the outcome. Here is a sampling. I'm not going to include our favorite family shot because then our Christmas cards wouldn't be new.
A decent picture of Paul and I
